The Manila Police District under the leadership of π£ππππ‘ ππ₯π‘π’ππ π§ππ’π ππ¦ π ππππ¬, District Director is proud to make public the Weekly Accomplishment Report of MPD in the spirit of public transparency and access to public information.
On August 4-10, 2024, multiple police operations were conducted in various parts of MPD that resulted in the arrest of 48 suspects in possession of 1,002 grams of shabu and 156.3 grams of marijuana with an estimated standard drug price value of Php 6,829,556.00.
Additionally, a total of Php 24,901.00 bet money was confiscated from illegal gambling activities involving 107 suspects. Likewise, 82 arrests were made in the Wanted Persons list and 19 firearms were seized from 19 arrested suspects from the operations against loose firearms.
Violators of various city ordinances and special laws were also apprehended. Smoking and drinking in public places had the highest number of violators at 4,399. Other city ordinances with arrested violators include 136 obstructions, 2,484 roaming the streets without shirts, and 275 minors violating curfew. Further, there were 1,053 citations made on traffic law violations and 172 other city ordinances.
