MANILA – To attain swift action on crime solution, the Manila Police District under the supervision of PBGEN ARNOLD THOMAS C IBAY, District Director, conducted community engagement in schools/universities, terminals, government agencies, barangays, and other places of convergence.

The MPD introduced the PNP’s newest digital platform called “eGovph” designed for faster and more effective reporting of crime in the country through lecture, distribution of IEC materials, and through the utilization of various social media platforms, such as Facebook and YouTube. They demonstrated and explained how to download, and use the eGovph application.

Further, lectures on addressing the prevalence of violence against women and children, anti-terrorism, and other crime prevention tips were also discussed. This activity aims to maintain harmonious relationship with the community and to constantly remind them to enhance their awareness regarding crime prevention and to report crime incidents on time.

“We urge the public to take part of this technology to facilitate prompt reporting of crimes. This would result in a faster resolution of reported crimes,” PBGEN IBAY stated.
